Topography Camp [1st-2nd November]

Oh well, as the title above, this camp's objective is to teach us the topography and navigation skill. It is part of the RIC (Rovers Instructor Course) from SP Rovers.

Synopsis of the camp :

9 am - we fall in at the Ang Mo Kio town park. That morning is a raining day. I feel like don't want to wake up sia... As usual we have our inspection before the camp start. ( i hate inspection during raining day, all our things will be gone wet and later we have to put it all back to the bagpack after inspection =.= )

Its time for the lesson...(actually can consider as LECTURE lolz...) here we learn about the how to position the map, find the 6-grid MGR and bearing. Later we have something which is slightly practical. From there we learn how to pace a distance and find an object by given a bearing. Later on, we have divided into 3 different groups. Me, Nav and Stanley are in the same group.
(i know, it will be competition between the group....and AGAIN =p )

After our lunch, we proceed to our next destination - Marichie Resevoir Park. When we reach there, the competition start...(finally, huh?) We have given the MGR (position on the map) and we have to reach the checkpoints to find something...Well, starting everything is doing good. Our group is absolutely the "FLYING TEAM". (haha, of course lo, when Nav is WALKING, i and Stanley are RUNNING lolz )

However, in between we face some problem and eventually we wasted alot of chances and advantages. I can say is the communication problem between all of us, we never discuss and plan a route properly. For some checkpoint we take a very long detour. In the end we only managed to get the 2nd position.

After a rest, our journey continues again. This time we walk quite a long distance, and we reach somewhere ( i oso dunno the place name) and have our dinner.

TUBES around...

say "chhhheeeessseee"

uh huh? whose hand?

me and Sharon

We have a great dinner time at there. Now is the night time, our next activity is CEMETERY HIKE... ( i know what u guys r thinking about, NATURAL NIGHT WALK ) There is nothing much about it, everything seems to run SMOOTHLY...except for a time we saw a group of people appear behind us, shining torch light at us and walking QUITE fast towards us too. We are afraid something bad is going to happen (at this time what are they doing at the cemetery?) .
In the end everything is fine, they just having some ceremony or worship at there.

Is the late night now, and we reach the place for us to SLEEP (that place is a park too, yea we sleep at the public like we have no home to go back ! =p )
